BIO-CAT, Inc. now offers a new line of bacterial products for application in the agriculture, aquaculture, animal feed, and industrial markets. Our product line presently includes ready-to-use and concentrated Bacillus spore liquids both with and without added enzymes. These products are manufactured at our newly expanded facility in Shakopee, Minnesota. Our line will soon be expanded to include other beneficial microbes, including bran based and soluble, powdered products.
Animal Feed Applications
Enzyme supplementation in animal feed has numerous benefits whether it is derived from purified enzymes or fermentation by-products. Both bacterial and fungal amylases aid in the overall health of animals by increasing nutritional utilization of non-starch polysaccharides.
BIO-CAT is pleased to offer the following biological products:
•Bacillus subtilis fermentation by-product with bacterial amylase activity
•Aspergillus oryzae fermentation by-product with fungal amylase activity
•A blend of Aspergillus oryzae and Bacillus subtilis fermentation by-product with amylase activity
These products may be standardized at various strengths on a wheat bran carrier. These materials are considered GRAS animal feed ingredients and supplementation of these products into animal feed applications may be desirable where hydrolytic enzyme activity is desired.
Biological Augmentation and Wastewater Treatment
BIO-CAT is now offering bacterial products which enhance the bioaugmentation of waste in industrial settings as well as in household applications such as septic systems and drain maintainers. Biological augmentation of waste holding and treatment systems is routinely used to facilitate accelerated degradation of waste components. Naturally occurring microorganisms selected for their unique abilities to attack certain waste components such as carbohydrates, proteins, fats, oils, and greases and even paper components are added to the waste stream to increase system efficiency and solids reduction. These microbes offer a natural and effective solution to facilitate the breakdown of common waste components. These microbes produce enzymes to catalyze reactions that bring about the breakdown of starches into simple sugars, proteins into amino acids, and fats, oils, and greases into glycerides and fatty acids all of which are more water soluble making them available for beneficial bacteria to utilize as food sources. These products can be formulated with purified enzymes for enhanced performance capabilities.

We offer fermentation capacity from 210 liters to 11,000 liters and packaging from 20 kilogram jerry containers to tanker loads.
