Regulatory Affairs Manager
BIO-CAT, a Charlottesville based food, feed and agricultural biotech company has an immediate opening for a Regulatory Affairs Manager. Reporting to the Vice President, this position is responsible for guiding the company’s efforts in the complex world of regulatory affairs. The position is also responsible for maintaining industry alliances, proactively identifying new regulations that may impact the company’s growth, working on cross-functional teams for product development, managing clinical trials, literature development and being a company liaison to outside consultants where necessary.
The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years’ experience in the regulatory environment in one of the following areas: food ingredients, feed additives, pharmaceutical actives and/or agriculture soil inoculants. Working knowledge of FDA, EPA and other agencies and interpreting their rules is also required. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate success in developing regulatory plans in one of the areas above.
Candidates should possess a B.S in a biological science, have superior record keeping and communication skills and be able to meet assigned deadlines. BIO-CAT, for almost 30 years, has been a leader in the dietary supplement ingredients area as well as feed and agriculture. The primary business is supplying enzymes for those fields as well as bacteria as probiotics for humans and animals. Experience in these fields is a plus.

Sales Operation Representative
Sales Ops representatives will support the organization’s achievement of its revenue targets via supporting the Business Development Sales Team, marketing initiatives, and by working closely with both prospective and new customers. This position works with the Sales team to define plans for account growth, assist with customer communication, monitor and maintain both small and growth accounts, and help in processing new leads for qualification. Customer profiles are maintained using CRM. Assisting as required in the review/upgrade of product literature, technical sheets, etc. Other duties may include identification of potential revenue upsides for strategic purposes, support sales at trade shows if required, and develop internal assessment tools for market research. Project management, organization, and strong communication skills will be required to successfully meet the expectations of this role. Ability to travel if required.
Background in sales with a focus on high customer service is helpful. Bachelors in Chemistry/Biology or related field preferred.
