Business Developer in Sales
BIO-CAT is hiring for Business Development in Sales to support the organization’s achievement of its revenue targets via supporting the Business Development Sales Team, marketing initiatives, and by working closely with both prospective and new customers. This person will learn the enzyme business from customer service through the sales process to effectively maintain relationships with current customers and develop business with prospective customers. Duties will include planning for account growth, assisting with customer communication, maintaining both small and large growth accounts, and helping to processing new leads for qualification. Sales will assist as required in the review/upgrade of product literature, technical sheets, etc. Other duties include identification of potential revenue upsides for strategic purposes, trade shows, and development of internal assessment tools for market research.
Ideal candidates will have a BS in Biology, Biochemistry, Food Science (secondary – animal/human nutrition) with 5+ years of sales experience with proven track record. Strong motivation and self-management skills, project management, organization, passion, and strong customer focused communication required to successfully meet the expectations of this role. Travel up to 50% required. Based in our Virginia office (non-negotiable).
