The 2025 Brian Huffman Memorial Scholarship goes to London Pryor-Williams of Louisa County High School. Each year the scholarship committee reviews applications then selects and interviews candidates. Five candidates were interviewed out of a possible 15 plus amazing applicants. Every year it becomes harder to choose our awardee!

London has maintained a high GPA while being an active four-year member of the Speech and Debate Club as well as participating in various volunteer activities. She is a Certified Nursing Assistant, running a small business that provides customized and compassionate care to clients. She loves the life lessons these seniors teach her! Compassion is a trait she has experienced throughout her life and she strives to emulate in all she does. London also aspires to create programs that help provide essential resources such as food, shelter, job training, and mentoring to young and old in need.

London plans to attend George Mason University this fall, majoring in biology and minoring in nonprofit studies and leadership. Her ultimate goal is to become a physician assistant and be able to make a positive impact in her community.

Congratulations, London!

The Brian M. Huffman Memorial Scholarship was established in 2014 by BIO-CAT. Brian was a dedicated and instrumental employee from BIO-CAT’s founding in 1988 and embodied the spirit that anything was possible with hard work and perseverance. He also believed in “giving back” whenever one was able to. This $5,000 scholarship was created with that in mind; to give back to the students, give back to the community, ultimately giving back to build a better future, and to always do so in Brian’s memory.
