BIO-CAT once again sponsored the Suicide Prevention Awareness Resource Council (SPARC) walk, put on by Region Ten – a statewide network of 40 Community Service Boards working to provide mental health, developmental disability and substance use services where they are needed – in the local community. The SPARC walk celebrated it’s 11th year in 2026.
SPARC is a group of concerned citizens, professionals, and partner agencies who convene with a common goal of reducing the number of suicides in our area. BIO-CAT remembers the life of Brian Huffman, a dedicated and instrumental employee from BIO-CAT’s founding in 1988 who embodied the spirit that anything was possible with hard work and perseverance.
