Once again BIO-CAT is awarding the Brian Huffman Memorial Scholarship Award to a local student from the Louisa County High School. This year’s recipient is Ellen Rosson.

Throughout her high school career, Ellen was busy with extracurricular & charitable activities and work, all while maintaining her 4.5 GPA. Ellen is the third member of the Rosson family, who has run Quaker Hill Farm for 5 generations, to receive this award. She plans to attend Oklahoma State University in the fall, majoring in Hospitality and Event Management with a minor in Agriculture Business. Her hopes are to return to Louisa County upon completing this degree, helping to continue the family farm legacy while adding modern services such as a wedding venue, cabins, and farm-to-table beef, lamb and pork. BIO-CAT is pleased to award Ellen this scholarship, as she embodies both the love of agriculture that Brian Huffman had, as well as the spirit of giving back to her community.
